Diagnostic guide
Know when to call us out.
Recognise these patterns early — the difference between a repair and a replacement is often weeks.
Ceiling stain after rain
Interior water staining almost never appears directly below the leak entry point. We trace the moisture path back to its source before touching the roof.
Shingles missing after a wind event
Wind-lifted shingles expose underlayment to the next rain event. A small opening can saturate deck boards and reach insulation within a single storm.
Flashing pulled from masonry
Step or counter flashing that has separated from a chimney or wall is a direct water entry point. The gap does not reseal—it widens with each temperature cycle.

Leaks rarely originate where the water shows. We trace the moisture path back to its source before touching anything.

FAQ
Common questions
What should I do about an active leak?
Call rather than submit the form. A temporary tarp over the opening limits interior damage until the permanent repair can be scheduled, once the deck has dried out. Move belongings away from the leak and photograph any damage for your records.
Will a repair void my manufacturer shingle warranty?
It should not if the repair uses compatible materials and follows the manufacturer instructions, but warranty terms vary by product. Check your warranty document, and ask the contractor to record the materials used and give you a copy.
How do I know whether I need a repair or a full replacement?
It depends on the age of the roof and how widespread the damage is. If the shingles still have meaningful life left and the damage is localised, a repair is the right call. A good contractor will tell you plainly when a repair would be throwing money at a roof that needs replacing.
