The RoofMD Promise

Diagnose honestly. Fix it to last.

We examine the roof personally before we put a number to anything. The photo report comes with the estimate, so you know we are quoting what we actually found.

From deck condition through the final ridge cap, the whole job is photographed. You receive the record — if a question comes up later, the answer is already in the file.

You will not explain your project to three different people. The estimator who walked your roof is in the loop when the crew arrives and when the last nail goes in.

We install Atlas Pinnacle Pristine and comparable Class 3 impact-rated shingles that the manufacturer backs with its own warranty — which transfers to us under our certification.

Landscaping and pool areas covered before tear-off begins. A dedicated clean-up pass before we leave. A final walkthrough with you before you sign off.

  • They found the actual source of the leak in minutes, showed me photos of it, and fixed it that same week. No upsell, no pressure.
    James T.Germantown, TN
  • The crew covered the landscaping and the pool before they started, and the cleanup afterwards was better than I expected.
    Maria L.Collierville, TN
  • Our adjuster met them on the roof and explained everything. The claim went through without a fight.
    David R.Bartlett, TN
  • The inspector walked me through every photo on a tablet and told me which problems were urgent and which could wait. I never felt sold to.
    Susan K.Cordova, TN
  • They showed up on the day they said, kept me updated as the work went on, and left the yard cleaner than they found it.
    Michael B.Memphis, TN
  • I called about a leak on a stormy evening and someone answered. A tarp was on the roof before the rain came back, and the repair followed.

Facts & FAQ

Roofing facts and straight answers.

The roofing basics worth knowing before you sign anything, and honest answers to what homeowners ask.

Something we have not covered?

Call us, or ask for a free quote and we will call you.

It depends on the shingle, the climate, the ventilation and the upkeep. Entry-level three-tab shingles are often quoted at roughly 15 to 20 years and architectural shingles at roughly 20 to 30. Heat, hail and poor attic ventilation shorten that, and an inspection tells you where your roof actually stands.

Impact ratings come from a standard test (UL 2218) that grades roofing from Class 1 to Class 4, with Class 4 the highest. A higher class means the product held up to a heavier test impact. It describes resilience, not immunity: hail can still damage an impact-rated roof. Some insurers offer a premium discount for higher classes, so it is worth asking yours.

Hot, humid air trapped under the roof deck bakes the shingles from below and feeds moisture problems in the attic. Balanced intake and exhaust ventilation helps shingles last and keeps the attic drier, and some manufacturers expect it as a condition of their warranty.

A manufacturer warranty covers the product: defects in the shingles themselves. A workmanship warranty comes from the contractor and covers the installation: how the roof was put on. They are separate documents with separate terms. Get both in writing before you sign, and check how long each lasts, what it covers, and whether it transfers if you sell the house.

It is written down and handed to you before work starts, so you can read exactly what it covers, what it does not, and whether it passes to the next owner when you sell. If anything in it is unclear, ask: we would rather explain it now than after the work is done.

Be careful. Take their card, check their licence and insurance, read everything before you sign, and never sign over your insurance benefits. A legitimate contractor will give you a written inspection report and will not mind you taking time to decide. Get an independent inspection before you call your insurer.

A good crew watches the forecast, works in sections, and dries in each section with underlayment or a tarp before stopping for the day. Ask any roofer how they handle weather in the middle of a job, and what they do if rain arrives early.
