Diagnostic guide
Know when to call us out.
Recognise these patterns early — the difference between a repair and a replacement is often weeks.
Extensive multi-section damage
One or two bad sections can be repaired. When most of the system is failing, full gutter replacement is the lasting fix—not another round of patches.
Large cracks or holes
Small openings can be patched. Large cracks and holes let water dump onto fascia and foundation until the trough is replaced.
Home damage already started
Rotting fascia, stained eaves, or foundation issues mean leaky gutters have gone too far. Replacement stops the water path before damage spreads.

Inspect: repair or replace
We thoroughly evaluate the existing system and give a transparent recommendation—repair when it saves you money, replacement when the gutters truly need it.

FAQ
Common questions
How do I know if I need gutter replacement or just a repair?
When we arrive, we inspect the full system. One or two damaged sections can usually be repaired. Multiple failed sections, large cracks or holes, or water damage already in the fascia, eaves, or foundation typically means replacement is the right call—and we will say so transparently.
Why shouldn’t I replace gutters myself?
Gutter replacement means complex work one to two stories up on a ladder. It is inherently dangerous even for skilled DIYers. RoofMD’s Memphis and Germantown crews are fully licensed and insured so you do not risk serious injury for a job that needs a professional install.
What happens if leaky gutters have already damaged my home?
Rotting fascia, water stains on the eaves, or foundation issues are signs the system is beyond economical repair. Replacing the gutters stops the ongoing water path; we note related damage on the estimate so you know what else needs attention.
Do you replace commercial gutters as well as residential?
Yes. Based in Germantown, we travel throughout the Memphis area for expert gutter replacement on residential and commercial buildings. Call (901) 305-9136 for a free quote.
Will you try to repair first to save me money?
Yes. Our goal is to save customers money whenever possible. If a transparent repair will restore the system, we recommend that. We only push full replacement when malfunctioning gutters truly need it.
